a few things to make your trip great!

What You Need To Know

Before you set out with us on the trip of a life time, we want to go over a few things. The Philippines is an amazing country with so much to offer, but like with most Southeast Asian countries things sometimes don’t go according to plan. This is why we may have to slightly alter the itinerary if we need to. One Life is committed to giving you the best possible experience, so if we need to change something we’ll make sure we’ll replace it with something equally awesome! We also include a domestic flight with a checked luggage allowance of 20kg. If you need more you can you can pay for your luggage at the airport but it can be pretty expensive!

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance on all One Life Adventures trips is compulsory. Our group leader will be taking care of you from the moment you arrive, though things can happen which are out of our control. This is why we require everyone who travels with us to have their own travel insurance by the time they depart for the trip. You will have a much more enjoyable trip knowing that you are covered no matter what happens! When you are choosing your insurance policy, it’s important to make sure it covers the following things:

  • Adventure activities included in the tour
  • Medical expenses
  • Personal belongings (in cases of lost luggage or theft)
  • Missed flights
  • To view our waiver and full terms & conditions please click here

It is up to you to organise your own visas (if required) for the trip. Most nationalities are allowed to enter the Philippines without visas for a stay not exceeding twenty-one (21) days for tourism. We recommend that you go to this website for the most up-to-date information regarding Filipino tourism visas.

Spending Money

The cost of food and drink in the Philippines is quite low, even for South East Asian standards. Everyone spends money differently so it’s not easy to give a specific number for how much money you will need. The following website gives accurate prices of all the basics in the Philippines, including food and alcohol.

ATMS are few and far between, so make sure you have enough cash with you for smaller day-to-day expenses. We do not advise to bring travelers cheques as finding a place to exchange them can be difficult in Palawan. Your group leader will advise you where there are ATMS in the towns and cities so you don’t have to carry too much cash on you at any one time.

Day 10 of the Tour - Getting to Your Next Destination

Shuttle buses run from El Nido every hour on the hour from 4am to 7pm (with the exception of 12pm). Therefore guests can book their flight from Puerto Princesa to any destination in the Philippines on Day 10 of the tour any time after 3pm. The journey takes 6 hours so bare this in mind.
