Arriving Visa

The journey from Colombo to Male airport takes roughly one hour. Thankfully, entry into the Maldives does not require a prior visa and based on immigration requirements, entry permits will be granted on arrival. Visitors of all nationalities are granted entry with free 30 day visa if they possess:

  • a valid international travel document issued by a sovereign state’s government
  • a valid return air ticket and necessary visas to a destination where the passenger has permission to enter
  • a minimum of US$30.00 per person per day or confirmed hotel reservation for the intended period of stay in the Maldives
Currency

The currency used in the Maldives is the Rufiyaa (Rf) however most visitors never even see rufiyaa, as US dollars are accepted everywhere. We highly encourage you to take and spend USD as you will not be able to convert Sri Lankan rupees back to your home currency on your return.

Alcohol

Alcohol in the Maldives The Maldives is an Islamic nation and alcohol can only be enjoyed in the privacy of a resort or at the airport.

Day 1 - Arrive at Male

Arrive at Male airport and jump on a speedboat or seaplane transfer to Mafushii ready to check in to your beach resort

Day 2 - Unwind at a signature exclusive Maldivian resort

Today we recharge those batteries and unwind visiting a signature exclusive Maldivian resort and take in the soft sandy beaches, translucent clear lagoons enclosed by house reefs inhabited by a variety of marine flora and fauna and everything else you would expect on a tropical holiday

Day 3 - Watersports Day

Watersports are everywhere in the Maldives and today is the day for activities. Enjoy an abundant underwater world including manta rays, sharks, even a few wrecks, you name it, you can find it in the Maldives.
